Saturday:   10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

 

·         Limited service for residents within the Burlington city limits only.  March 20th thru November 13, 2010.

·         Punch card is required for disposal of brush and tree limbs.

·         $20 punch cards with 20 one-dollar punches, may be purchased at City Hall, 833 S. Spruce St. (Picture ID with address required.) A $10 punch card will be available after August 1st.

·         Punch cards are only valid for 2010. 

§  $1.00 punch for one garbage can of tree limbs

§  Up to $5.00 for pickup load of brush, truck bed height.

§  Up to $10.00 for pickup load of brush, piled above truck bed height.

The City's tree/limb disposal site is intended for yard clean up and maintenance only.

       ·         City WILL accept:

§  Brush & wood-like stalks

§  Limbs (Max. 4" diameter)

 

·         Limit of two pick-up/single axle trailer loads of brush per day.

·         Additional punch cards can be purchased for $20 at City Hall.  Call 755-0531 for details.

·         Disposal of limbs from large trees and shrubs is the responsibility of the resident/property owner.

·         The City WILL NOT accept:

§  Grass Clippings

§  2009 punch cards or others

§  Commercial yard maintenance materials

§  Contractor  or lumber debris

§  Bursh and tree limbs without a punch card

§ Compostable material such as leaves, flowers or roses, fruits and vegetables,   blackberry and ivy vines, corn & sunflower stalks, sod

§  Root balls or stumps

§  Rocks and dirt

§  Large tree and shrub removal

NOTE:  Call Skagit Soils at 424-0199 to see if they will accept any of the above materials the City does not.  There is a charge for materials, and they are located at 13260 Ball Road (off W. Ovenell Road between Higgins Airport Way and Farm to Market Road).

 

 

      Call Waste Management (800-592-9995) for curbside pickup of compostable material.
