Chris Loving has served as Council member since 1993 serving in the At-Large position for two terms and then elected to serve in the Ward 5 position beginning January 1996. His current term will expire December 2013. Chris was born and raised in Burlington; he graduated from Burlington-Edison High School. The Loving family has a long history of service to the community. Chris has been a Burlington Volunteer Firefighter since 1983. He is employed by Wilbur-Ellis Company, a farm fertilizer company west of Burlington. He currently serves on several council committees including the Public Works Committee, Parks & Recreation Board and the Historical Preservation Board. He is the 2011 Mayor Pro Tem.
