The Audit and Finance Committee meets at 4:00 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of each month (the day prior to regular City Council meetings) at City Hall to review all bills of the city and certify that all are in accordance with state and municipal law. They present the certified claims to city council requesting approval for payment by motion of the council. The committee also assists the finance director in formulating and recommending financial policies of the city and review and advise on policies prior to submittal to the full council for adoption and approval. Special meetings may be called by the chairperson of the committee, finance director or city administrator.
