Masterfile Premier (EbscoHost)MasterFILE™ Premier contains full text for nearly 1,700 periodicals covering general reference, business, health, education, general science, multicultural issues and much more. This database also contains full text more than 500 reference books, over 107,000 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of over 510,000 photos, maps & flags. 

Academic Search™ Premier (Ebsco) contains indexing and abstracts for more than 8,500 journals, with full text for more than 4,600 of those titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles with full-text coverage in biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, religion & theology, etc.

The Burlington Public Library owns historical local newspapers in paper and/or microfilm format.     Local newspapers can be viewed at the library. We have a microfilm reader/printer for use on a first-come, first-served basis. A one-hour limit is imposed if people are waiting to use the machine. Printouts are $.15/page. 
    If you have an exact date you would like us to search for you from the above papers, email
    blibrary@ci.burlington.wa.us . We would be happy to photocopy a page or two of an obituary or other article and mail it to you.
