Each year more than 600,000 new citations are added to the database — existing citations are never removed

Websites to Know for Biographies & Genealogy
  • Skagit Valley Genealogical Society - Their website contains an obituary index and their collection is located in the Burlington Public Library.  It features many basic and specialized genealogy resources. For detailed genealogy questions a volunteer member is the society is available to assist in the library each Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Library Staff is often able to help find resources as well at other times.
  • Skagit County Historical Museum: Links to events and information on local history
  • Skagit County Washington : U.S. GenWeb Project includes a yearbooks, directories and other miscellaneous Skagit Valley documents.
  • Washington State Digital Archives- Their site provides access to vital records and other pioneer  public records.
  • Skagit River Journal: Online "database" of transcribed and annotated historical documents, photographs and books on the people and history of the greater Skagit Valley area.
